As electrified powertrains become ever more popular and an increasing number of electronic governors require throttle control through CAN in the agriculture, construction segments, MCS has developed a range of CAN J1939-compatible throttle controls. The line-up includes throttle pedals, a heavy duty and finger-tip hand throttles, rotary throttles as well as throttle position sensors.
The CAN J1939 compatible throttle products offer the opportunity to simply and reduce the complexity of the wiring harness as it requires only the power supply, ground and CAN high/low wires which are most of the time already available in the cab. No need for a dedicated wire harness from the throttle pedal to the engine ECU.
The MCS CAN products fully comply with the SAE J1939 safety requirements and are able to manages either the EEC2 or TSC1 Parameter Group Numbers (PGN) as well as proprietary PGNs.
All the programming is handled by our engineering team in Brussels, Belgium.
Although slightly more expensive than traditional analog models, CAN-compatible models offer, as already said, simplicity of installation, but also accuracy and reliability, thanks to their insensitivity to noise.
At MCS, we’re agile in our decision-making and quick to adapt to the way the world is going. As a high-tech company in a niche market, we cannot afford to fall asleep or relax.
